I recently bought a Western Digital 320GB USB drive to use as a backup for my pictures, videos and games. Had been working pretty well until Monday; after restarting my PC, Windows Vista asked to insert a driver CD for my WD hard drive. Didn’t make any sense since this is a USB drive, tried it on my Macbook Pro, couldn’t read the drive. During my visit to the auto repair shop yesterday, I noticed some of the cars in the lot from a 1992 VW Golf to the legendary 1963 Chevy Impala. Reminded me of a post on Viget’s blog about Cars and Operating systems. Geeks that like their computers or gadgets and express some personality via their cars fascinate me.

After about six months of waiting; I have finally launched the new design for my virtual playground. Most inspired by LINE and COLOR I played around till I came up with this simple and I think elegant scheme.
It all started with a theme by design disease that was closest to my mockup, from there on I hacked, cut and greatly modified to come with this dark yet colorful design. Read the rest of this entry »
